While working as a raw food chef, I created a number of inventive snacks that combine my love of raw food and organic gardening with my dedication to reducing food waste. Green smoothie roll-ups, juice crackers, and abundant herb garden pesto are among my many creations.

After learning about the nightmares of the food industry at the early age of 16 I started exploring more conscientious ways of eating. Eventually this led me to the world of raw & living food. A raw food diet was a very new concept at the time, making it quite a challenge to find recipes, so I had to learn how to make my own raw food masterpieces.

Maintaining a living diet is normally coupled with a lifestyle that’s focused on being ecologically sustainable. So in the pursuit of these values, I wound up living and working at a retreat centre that gave me the opportunity to refine my skills as a raw food chef and gardener.

Natural enzymes in the body boost digestion and fight chronic disease, and cooking food destroys those enzymes. Therefore, living food is easier to digest, which frees up the body to heal itself and prevent illness caused by stress and various environmental factors.
